With the recent rapid growth of transparent noise barriers in North America, the gap is starting to close with Europe and Asia which have introduced significant volumes of transparent barriers over the past 30 years.  During that period, Cyro division of Evonik has been a world leader with the PARAGLAS SOUNDSTOP® product line.

Transparent barriers offer enhanced scenic views for motorists, reduced apparent wall heights for both motorists and residents, increased sunlight to backyards and increased commercial visibility.

PARAGLAS SOUNDSTOP® sheet is extremely resistant to weathering from UV exposure and retains clarity and strength through years of sunlight exposure. It is ideal for blocking highway noise while preserving visibility and light.

PARAGLAS SOUNDSTOP® Ready-Fit Panels are fully fabricated frame-and-panel assemblies, adaptable to any ground-mounted noise barrier system. Incorporating PARAGLAS SOUNDSTOP® sheet, these panels can be substituted anywhere on a noise wall where the designer needs to provide an opening for light and view. The result is a cost effective “win-win” solution to visibility and noise abatement problems.

PARAGLAS SOUNDSTOP® GS CC Noise Barrier Sheet has a fragment retention feature which controls falling debris resulting from collision. Incorporating all of the characteristics of PARAGLAS SOUNDSTOP sheet, it is ideal for use on bridges and overpasses.  PARAGLAS SOUNDSTOP GS CC meets the EN1794 Standard for the performance of noise barriers.

PARAGLAS SOUNDSTOP® TL-4 System is a lightweight noise barrier system for bridges and elevated roadway applications. It has been successfully tested under NCHRP 350 Level 4 conditions.
