Canada’s first outdoor transit & rail show an overwhelming success

Etobicoke, ONThe TRACCS Transit & Rail Association held their first outdoor exhibit, Rail Day 2022. An event like no other before, as it took place in a Metrolinx rail yard, right within the heart of the GTA, an area which the association serves.

In support of an event that brings together hundreds of rail professionals, the Durisol team went to work on the construction of a display fitting for the occasion. Bringing together the full gamut of noise and retaining wall solutions for the transit sector, “The Durisol Way” rail stop was born.

Otherwise known as booth #203, our immersive transit stop was built from various types of absorptive and reflective noise barriers, precast retaining walls and rail silencers all specially designed and assembled to make the perfect experience for attendees to touch and feel each sample and hear the noise reduction firsthand. Whether it was sitting on our bench to take a phone call, a quiet moment to themselves away from the hustle and bustle of the conference or to just to admire the various materials used to construct this booth – our team enjoyed the company and new connections made.

A sure sign of success, TRACCS has already opened pre-registration for next year.

See below for a glimpse into the hard work that went into the unique booth, as well as snapshots from the event over the two days. A special shout out to the Seaforth precast manufacturing facility team members who went above and beyond to design and construct the display!
